Marina saw the puzzled look on Jodi's face when she pulled up in front of a small house. But she smiled, stepping out of the car and moving to open Jodi's door. 'Trust me.'
She unlocked the front door, flicking on the lights, releaving a neat, though reasonabably small living room. The kicten was open, so that who ever was cooking could still have a conversation.
'What better place to eat than the home of a chief?'

Jodi followed her in slowly, looking around then smiling warmly. 'It's a lovely home.' She agreed quietly, unable to stop herself smiling again.

Jodi glanced around as she selected her art stuff and moved back towards the seats, settling to begin a fresh sketch, glancing up at Marina every now and again, carefully outlining the work.

Marina smiled, knowing that Jodi was sketching her again. She laid out two plates on the table, brining over a large dish of fish and a large salad. 'Help yourself.' she said, pulling out the chairs.

Jodi smiled, finishing up the sketch and setting her pad down, approaching the table and settling to pick out the food. 'What is this?' She asked, beginning to eat, slowly.

Jodi smiled. 'It's wonderful.' then continued eating, cautiously. She often refused fish meals but she trusted Marina's judgement and continued to pick ehr way around the smaller bones, careful to pile them on the edge of the plate.

'Just trying not to choke on the bones that's all.' Jodi signed back quickly. 'I tend to miss things like that at times.'

'I'll remember that next time.' Marina promised, keeping a cautious eye on Jodi. Marina had just found her, the last thing she wanted to do was loose her, of her own fault.

Marina smiled, almost sadly. 'I always cooked for myself as a child, so I guess it started there.'
